CWB Introduces Cheque Imaging to Customers
As of December 3, 2007 all personal banking customers can access images of their cheques via CWBdirect®. Less paper, more convenience.
What's New? New standard for all cheques!
Do your cheques comply with the new standard?
If you have ordered your Canadian Western Bank cheques from Davis and Henderson after April 2005 (Canadian cheques) or September 2006 (U.S.D. cheques), your cheques already meet the new standard.
If you print your own cheques, or have them printed for you, here are some of the key changes published by Canadian Payment Association that will affect your cheques.
New cheque specifications at a glance:
Business Cheques: To help our business customers make a smooth transition, Canadian Western Bank will continue to process "old format" business cheques until September 2, 2008. This grace period will allow businesses to use up their existing supplies of cheques and implement any required updates to software.
Personal Cheques: Customers with a supply of "old-format" personal cheques can continue to use them until they need to re-order, provided that a good image can be captured from the cheque.
