  1. Mail service disruption

Service disruption to Canada Post mail delivery

What you need to know

Please be aware that Canada Post is on strike as of Friday, November 15, 2024. As a result, mail deliveries to and from CWB may be delayed. This includes paper bank statements, new or replacement debit and credit cards, paper credit card statements and other notices. We are committed to keeping you informed as we learn more. In the meantime, learn how the postal strike may affect you and ways you can prepare.

What you need to know:

Banking statements

Did you know you can access your electronic account statement using your CWB digital banking platform? Even if you signed up to receive a paper statement, your monthly account statement is also available to you online. If you typically get a statement in the mail, please be aware you may experience a delay receiving it during the postal strike. For uninterrupted access, be sure to view your statements online.

Not using online or digital banking? Contact your relationship manager or local banking centre for help.

Credit card statements

All CWB Mastercard® credit card statements are available to view online through the personal or business credit card portal. If you also opted in to receive a paper statement, please be aware you may experience a delay receiving it during the postal strike. Make sure you view your statements online during this time.

Debit card and credit card issuance

If you are expecting a new or replacement debit or credit card in the mail, it may be delayed during the postal strike. Please contact us for more information.

Online and Mobile banking

CWB’s digital banking platforms give you the ability to bank online from anywhere, at anytime. You can review your recent transactions and statements, send money and make bill payments all from the convenience of your home, office, or mobile device. Speak with your relationship manager or banking centre if you need assistance with online or mobile banking.

Payments

During the mail service disruption, you should continue making any payments by the payment due date. To make a payment quickly and securely, use your CWB digital banking platform. Payments can also be made at your local banking centre. During the mail service disruption, we encourage you to avoid sending any payments or other important documents to us by mail as we may not receive them in time.
