CWB will reduce the hours its branch locations are open to the public as an additional social distancing measure in response to COVID-19. Clients can still reach their relationship managers – many of whom are now working from home – during regular business hours. In-branch transactions, however, will only be available between the reduced hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, starting this Thursday, March 19.
“The safety of our people and our clients is of utmost importance and we see this as a necessary social distancing step in response to COVID-19,” said Stephen Murphy, CWB’s executive vice president of banking.
“Our focus right now is on continuing to offer the essential banking services that our clients need and expect during this uncertain time,” Murphy added. “That means we must give our people the opportunity to take care of themselves and their families, especially with school closures across many of the provinces where we operate, and to allow additional flexibility for those who take public transit to work.”
Online and mobile banking services continue to be an excellent option for both business and personal clients. As a member of The EXCHANGE® Network, CWB offers its clients access to more than 3,300 surcharge-free ABMs in various locations across Canada.
