CWB will temporarily close ten of its branches and further reduce foot traffic via selective scheduling at another 20 in an effort to curb community transmission of COVID-19. Clients can continue to reach their Relationship Managers – most of whom are now working from home – by phone or email during regular business hours.
“We’re confident this plan will enable us to continue to provide the essential banking services that our clients need and expect in the safest way possible,” said Stephen Murphy, CWB’s executive vice president of banking. “It aligns with best practices as advised by health authorities and complements the increased sanitization and social distancing measures, like new plexi-glass screens and floor decals, we’ve already put in place. Most importantly, it prioritizes the health and security of our people, all of whom will continue to be paid whether they are working from home, working at a branch on reduced hours, or are on-call as part of a rotation team."
